Cam Pendelton - USMC Base, Oceanside, CA

Redesigning the dining facility at Camp Pendleton, Del Mar was inspired by its close proximity to Del Mar Beach, bringing a true coastal energy into the space. While maintaining the existing flooring and tile, the design introduced surfboards, bright colors, and custom tables, chairs, and booths to capture an authentic surf beach lifestyle. Thoughtful space planning, detailed paint schedules, and curated materials helped transform the environment into something both functional and visually uplifting. Metal sculptures and beach-inspired artwork were incorporated to reinforce the theme and create a cohesive, immersive experience. The end result is a vibrant, welcoming space where U.S. Marines can relax, recharge, and enjoy a meal with a sense of connection to the coast.
