Discover Magazine: Promotional Power Women of San Diego

Founder and CEO of Ginger Rabe Designs, LLC

A native San Diegan, at the tender age of 10, Ginger began her entrepreneurial quest with guidance from her family who taught her building skills. The seed well planted, it led her to graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design from The Art Institute of San Diego. Given her knowledge of build design, she was encouraged to further her quest by entering the interior design and build industry. As she is prone to do, Ginger dove right in and opened her first Interior Design Firm right out of college. Its growth has been remarkable and she now works closely with her private clients, construction companies, architects, landscape architects, and land developers in all aspects of residential design, from space planning to technical drawings, kitchen and bath designing, and building. The breadth of her projects range from San Diego, North County, Orange County, and Palm Springs.

Fifteen years strong, Ginger Rabe Designs, LLC opens its showroom in Carlsbad Village this October. A family-based business, Ginger puts quality of design and work performance first and foremost. Each of her junior designers, general contractors, and office staff focus on making each encounter a memorable experience for their clients. Keeping it simple, Ginger embodies effective solutions to the design process resulting in an inspirational environment and pleasant experience for her clientele. Her genuinely unique talents of envisioning a creative design through its implementation, and completion of the project has rendered her high marks with her clients and among her peers.

In the process of obtaining her Masters Degree in Sustainable Design from Jefferson University Philadelphia, and studying for her General Contractors License to better serve her clients, she currently volunteers her time guest speaking at Palomar College and is in the process of preparing for a TEDx speech on how creating healthy environments can affect individuals. Feeling the importance of giving back to the community, she is on the advisory board for Palomar College Design, on the Speaking Bureau and a member of SDGBC (San Diego Green Building Council). She also is the Member Chair of NKBA, ASID Allied, and supports the fight against cancer.
